About Charles
You don’t have to know a lot about a person to like them but it helps. Here’s a little bit about me...
Here's a bit about me....
Born in Dallas, Texas
Infected at an early age with a love for Music, Food and Photography - There is no cure.
Music seduced me into my first career.
Spent many years as a professional bassoonist in The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra.
Performed with the FWSO throughout Texas; Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Guangzhou, China and Hong Kong; Madrid, Barcelona, San Sebastian, Bilbao and Zaragoza, Spain; and one memorable Sunday matinee at Carnegie Hall in NYC.
Of course I viewed all of these places through the viewfinder of my camera.
Leaving my career with the FWSO was a gift for my significant other (SO) who was asked to join the ranks of The Baltimore Sun.
Cue the food bug. I created Lone Star Personal Chef and Catering Service along with teaching cooking classes at Williams-Sonoma.
SO is lured into the number two newsroom position at The Statesman Journal in Salem Oregon.
Load up the wagon and move west.
Cue my inner Realtor. Huh? Yup, I got my Oregon Real Estate license and serviced sellers and buyers.
Cue the photography bug. Of course, I needed photos of the wonderful homes I was marketing for my clients.
Isn’t it strange that life almost never turns out as expected but it’s seldom boring.
Want more - Take me to coffee and I’ll share the long story while listening to your story as well.
